By car from the North - leave the M1 at Jct 42 and take the M62 to Manchester. At Jct 18 continue ahead on the M60, then leave the M60 at Jct 17 and turn left onto the A56 Bury New Road south into Manchester. Continue ahead on the A56, which becomes Gt Ducie St and then Victoria St. Shortly after crossing the A6042 Trinity Way you will see the river on your right and the cathedral on your left. Turn left into Cateaton St just after the road becomes dual carriageway, then left again into Cathedral Gates where you will find the hotel. From the South - leave the M6 at Jct 21A and turn right onto the M62 into Manchester. Continue ahead onto the M602 for the City Centre. At the end of the motorway continue ahead along the A57 Regent Rd, then take the 6th left into A5066 Oldfield Rd. At the end of the road turn right into the A6 Crescent / Chapel St. Follow the A6, cross the A6042 Trinity Way, then after crossing Blackfriars St take the next right into Victoria Bridge St. When you reach the A56 cross over straight ahead into Cateaton St, then turn left into Cathedral Gates where you will find the hotel. By train - the hotel is about ½ mile from Manchester Victoria station, a few minutes by taxi. On foot, turn right out of the station into Hunts Bank and at the end of the road turn left into Victoria St. About 300 yards later you will see the cathedral on your left, then turn left into Cateaton St and left again into Cathedral Gates where you will find the hotel. |
